Most of today was spent at the trade show.. I got there early to meet up with some suppliers and to take part in some meetings with some new contacts that might be beneficial in the future.  Doesn’t make for interesting photos.

I was able to steal away early in the afternoon to give Brenda and I a chance to wander the streets and do a little targeting shopping.

Late night Hot Pot restaurant from the night before.  I went out with a couple of guys I know; Andy (partially behind the post and taking a photo) from the US and Kevin (sitting at booth in the back) from North Carolina.
After a few beers we got friendly with the party next to us. 

We went to a Leica camera store to buy a battery for my existing camera (tariffs have more than double the price of these in the US) as well as play with the new Leica “M EV-1” camera which just debuted several days ago… this is to make Randy envious.  These are not yet available in the US due to the current government shut down (FCC is closed).. but Hong Kong has got them ready to go for the low, low price of HK$65,500.00.

This is a typical beauty/health storefront.. Brenda has been hitting a lot of these looking for very particular types of sunscreen and other strange unguents that are made in Korea and not available in the US (due to lack of FDA approval).  She has a list of things that she, the girls and other friends want to have brought home.

We get about all over HK via their cheap and convenient subway system.

We finished into the evening visiting a couple of small, independent used camera shops that sell Leica gear and accessories.  There was so much I wanted but I left having purchased only one particular plastic lens cap/cover to replace one I lost several years ago.

These guys have got just about anything you can come up with, all squirreled away.. stuff that goes well back into the 1930’s.
