This is another travel day for us, but we had the morning free in Frankfurt to do some more exploring.
It was cold and rainy this Saturday morning, but we had the proper gear to head on out.

Selfie in the mirror before leaving the hotel room.

Dreary, wet and windy Saturday morning.

View of the old part of town from a bridge over the Main river.

Central train station.

View of the inside, but we’re not taking a train today.

Top view down of sycamore trees that line both sides of the river. They have them trimmed over the decades to provide a neat canopy style once Spring and Summer arrive.

Inside Goethe’s house. Brenda is always a sucker for a tour of the inside of someone’s old house. The is the boyhood home of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German author, playwright, scientist and politician.

Goethe wrote “Faust” in this room (on a desk near where I’m standing to take the photo). It is a large house with 4 floors + attic + basement… he came from money before he became known for his own accomplishments.
After this, we headed back to hotel, grabbed our luggage and took an Uber to the airport to fly to our next destination….

Marrakech, Morocco! Our first time in Africa. I bragged to Brenda that, upon consideration, I have now been to 5 separate continents in just the last 6 months… and I feel like we never get to go anywhere!

Our Riad (hotel) for the night.. We got in exhausted, dumped our luggage, went up to the rooftop for some coffee, tea and snacks and then turned in.

View of our room. We have a long day tomorrow (Sunday).
