Brenda and I are in Brazil for the next week. I have some business meetings that take place on Monday and Tuesday, but before that, we flew to Rio to spend the weekend with another couple.
The overnight flight here was just the usual level of unpleasant. No problems at all, but the typical overnight mess, trying to make connections, running through the airports, trying out my VERY rusty Portuguese and etc.

Once you finally get to your hotel room, you are so thankful. The views are worth it.

After a shower and change of clothes, we headed out to tourist attraction #1 – Pão de Açucar – Sugarloaf Mountain and the fantastic views of Rio.

Donny and Meredith… the couple we’re with. Donny and I work together. This is their first time here.

Donny figuring out how to buy water. It’s Winter here, but still hot and muggy.

The views from the top can’t be beat.

As the sun set, Brenda and I walked down along Copacabana beach just to check out the sites. We were so tired, we begged off a dinner with Donny+Meredith. We crashed in our hotel room and just ordered room service.

In bed by 8 to get a decent night’s sleep.. Saturday is another big day of fun.
