Tuesday was mostly a travel day.. and the weather turned wet.
We continued to head west with Hot Springs, Arkansas as our final destination.
The route took us through Memphis. We used this as an opportunity to hit a Target to get some forgotten supplies and to stock up on Starbucks coffee and tea before heading across the Mississippi into Arkansas.
We also headed back down to Beale street to have lunch at one of our favorite places – B.B. King’s Blues Club. There are no performances at lunch time, but you can get the same huge plate of greasy food any time of day.
Brenda and Josie with the empty performance stage behind them.
Walking the dogs down an empty Beale street. No tourists here on a wet, Monday afternoon in February.
Keeping with our W.C. Handy theme, Memphis has preserved the home where he lived most of his life.
Lots of icky things to sniff on these streets.
Final destination – a great cabin in the woods, just outside of Hot Springs National Park.
Our route so far.
