Yesterday the 5 of us (+2 dogs) headed up into the Appalachian foothills to visit Mercier Orchards – 200 acres of apple trees & and old market that sells baked apple pies by the dozen as well as gallon-sized jugs of apple cider. We’ve re-stocked our freezer so that there will be no fear of somehow losing weight over Winter.
On the way back home we stopped off at a new trail – Tumbling Waters – to give the dogs a break and for Brenda to test out Winston’s behavior “off leash” on hikes. He did really quite well – we just about had the whole park to ourselves which made things much easier.
Isabella is looking for and identifying mushrooms.
