Windsor, UK (24 June 2012)

Sunday was our last day with the folks. We had to return to London to be able to help put them on an airplane out of Heathrow very early Monday morning.

We decided to park down near our previous London hotel (where I still had a valid parking pass) and take the Underground to the British Museum. We split up into two groups and spent several hours seeing what we could see. We’ve been there twice now and still haven’t hit all the wings of the building.

Afterwards, we wandered about looking for a place for lunch and settled on a Turkish restaurant; surprisingly good food for everyone.

We then drove out to Windsor to see the castle and meander through the shopping district. Mom and Brenda bought some last minute treasures from an antique store. By then it was time for hotel check in, wine time, dinner and bed.

My folks are now on a plane to home and we’re spending today getting prepared to make our Chunnel crossing tomorrow morning.
