Our traveling continues to Hong Kong. We are here for several days to attend an annual trade show – HKTDC Autumn Lighting Fair.

View from the lounge where we had coffee and breakfast each morning.

Attending the show – big crowds and very busy place. All of the photos I took here are of boring people and product. No fun to be had.

Donny and I did steal away in the late afternoon, met up with Brenda and Meredith, and we headed to Lantau Island where you can take a series of cable cars up to the Tian Tan (Big) Buddha.

View from the Buddha at the top.

An active monastery, which we walked to after climbing to the top of the hill.

Brenda giving their sacred cow some head scratches.

Our companions on the cable car returning home. The three girls on the left where real characters and had the whole car laughing at their antics. The couple on the right were from Moldova.

Dinner for our gang.. With Andy on the left and Kevin Green (lives in North Carolina) on the right. I picked out the restaurant – classic HK “Hot Pot”.
