Brenda and I flew up to Tacoma this past week to spend 3 days visiting our friends Rita and Randy. They finished their second round of shots several weeks ago and we have all been behaving ourselves such that we could get together again.
On the first afternoon we went on a walk in a neighborhood near where they live to see the various plants and planting techniques. Brenda was looking for ideas to get ready for our spring in Georgia.
R&R’s dogs: Dali and Dharma – sisters from the same litter.
This is where we stayed during the visit – R&R’s trailer – which is a lot more comfy than you might imagine. We had full heat and air, bathroom, kitchen, internet, tv & etc.
Wine time in their back yard.
One lunchtime in Seattle. Almost everything is still closed down here – much more restrictive than what we’re now used to in the South. What restaurants that were open were only serving out of doors – so we made do.
Walking through Washington Park Arboretum with Angela, R&R’s daughter.
Both Angela and Mary (R&R’s daughters) came by one afternoon for a visit. Angela lives with her family in Seattle. Mary with her’s in Portland. The girls have not seen each other since last summer and this was the first time R&R had their kids together at their house in more than a year.
Angela’s dog, Ranger.
… so there was much taking of pictures after a long, dry spell of visits.
Watching TV later that night.
Brenda all tuckered out after three hard days of partying. We got upgraded to Delta One one one of their large, international style planes. We could lower our seats into beds and sleep away the flight home.
